I earned my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Slippery Rock University and my undergraduate degree from the Pennsylvania State University in Kinesiology. Continuing education has always been important to my development as a practioner. I have become certified by the US McKenzie Institute as a Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment of the Spine, I am also certified in Functional Movement Systems and as a golf fitness and medical professional by Titleist Performance Institute. I am a physical therapist with over 20 years of experience and enjoy helping my patients return to the activities they love to do.
My newest endeavor has been pursuing an Applied Functional Medicine Certification as a health coach. I believe that the body functions as an interconnected system and when we are healing from an injury, we cannot ignore the impact of hydration, sleep, stress, or gut function. I am excited about sharing my understanding of how digestion, hormones, and cellular metabolism all contribute to our musculoskeletal and neuromuscular systems to impact pain, injury, and overall health.
Hailing from the beautiful Oregon coast, I earned my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from George Fox University in Newberg, OR, after graduating cum laude from Eastern Oregon University with a degree in Physical Activity and Health and a concentration in Health and Wellness. Before beginning graduate school, I worked as an administrative assistant in an outpatient physical therapy clinic, gaining firsthand knowledge of clinic operations and strengthening my love for serving patients therapeutically.
During my graduate internships in outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and hospital settings, I treated patients across the full continuum of injury and disease progression. Through these experiences, I developed a special interest — and refined skills — in manual and soft‑tissue therapy techniques as well as vestibular rehabilitation. I am committed to delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care and continually seek out new research and techniques to help patients return to their highest level of function.
I am dedicated to bringing the same customized care of the outpatient clinic to your home or office.
My professional experience spans 35 years following my graduation from Daemen College in Buffalo, New York. Throughout my career, I’ve specialized in helping clients recover from joint replacements, including hip, knee, and shoulder surgeries. I support individuals through every stage of recovery—from the initial transition home to confidently returning to an active lifestyle. Together, we’ll create a plan tailored to your goals, abilities, and long‑term wellness.
I also work extensively with clients facing age‑related challenges, such as difficulty walking, reduced strength, declining balance, and decreased endurance. My approach emphasizes practical strategies that restore confidence, independence, and safety in daily life.
My background includes ten years of management experience in skilled nursing and assisted‑living facilities. During that time, I co‑authored a staff training manual focused on leading exercise programs proven to reduce falls and decrease incontinence. I had the privilege of traveling the East Coast to train professionals in personal care homes, sharing best practices in mobility, safety, and functional wellness.
I love the work I do and am proud to offer high‑quality, one‑on‑one care in the comfort of your home as an option for those seeking personalized support.
